Hub City Brew Fest

Event Postponed

After much discussion and evaluation of all of the event logistics (staffing, infrastructure, product availability, volunteers, etc.), we have concluded that it is necessary to postpone the event from the original October 19th date. We are working on alternate dates and will be direct communication with sponsors and ticket holders very soon.

Given the severity of the destruction in the Upstate and the utter devastation in Western North Carolina, we did not feel that it would be appropriate or even possible to hold the event. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and we truly believe this to be the only option at this time. We ask for your patience as we work to make future plans.

LOCAL BREWS FROM THE CAROLINAS

We didn’t have to look that hard to find some great people making great beer. The Carolinas are represented from the Low Country to the Mountains. We have longtime local favorites like Rockers and New Groove, and North Carolina favorites Oskar Blues and Highland. You’re sure to find something special at this year’s Hub City Brew Fest. Look for continuous updates on the brewery list as we get closer to the date!

A PASSION FOR BEER

One thing that all of these breweries have in common is a passion for great beer and a respect for the craft of making it. Many of our brewers started in basements and garages, and now are helping home brewers get started by teaching classes and supplies. It’s not uncommon to hear of collaborative projects between breweries, and most of these guys have their “competitors” beers on tap in their own pubs.

PLENTY OF BEER

A fundraising event to benefit Spartanburg

Mission Accomplished…

Look at what your participation in the 5 years of Hub City Brew Fest events helped build! We did it, the Hub City Brewfest was planned and designed to showcase the growing craft beer breweries of the Carolinas and to donate all of the proceeds from the event to building a bike park in the City of Spartanburg. After building the Hot Spot Skatepark and helping with the Rail Tail dog park it was our dream to build a bike park. The Coalition for Active Youth are believers in the idea that if we can provide outdoor venues for kids to exercise and build community, we can contribute to the ongoing vibrancy of Spartanburg. We want kids to have fun, exercise, and connect with others; the byproduct of this is friendships, healthy lifestyle, and lasting memories. Your participation goes a long way in helping to support these efforts, Thank You!

What’s Up Next?

Your Participation Supports Kids Having Fun!!!

With the Vic Bailey Subaru Bike Park built, what’s up next for the Hub City Brewfest?

The Coalition for Active Youth assists in the creation of public outdoor recreational spaces for the youth in our community. Your past involvement with the Hub City Brew Fest and Drafts at Drayton helped create the Vic Bailey Bike Park and rebuild the skate bowl at Hot Spot Skatepark. This year we are grateful to partner with the Spartanburg Brew Club to put on Hub City Brew Fest. The proceeds will help fund continued improvements to our great parks. We are grateful for your support of our projects!
