LOCAL BREWS FROM THE CAROLINAS
We didn’t have too look that hard to find some great people making great beer. The Carolinas are represented from the Low Country to the Mountains. We have longtime local favorites like RJ Rockers and Thomas Creek and recent Carolina transplants like Bold Rock and Sierra Nevada. We even have a few startup breweries who are fresh out of the gate. You’re sure to find something special at this year’s Hub City Brew Fest.
A PASSION FOR BEER
One thing that all of these brewers have in common is a passion for great beer and a respect for the craft of making it. Many of our brewers started in basements and garages, and now are helping home brewers get started by teaching classes and supplies. It’s not uncommon to hear of collaborative projects between breweries, and most of these guys have their “competitors” beers on tap in their own pubs.

Dedicated song crafting has always been the cornerstone of The Freeway Revival. A group forged on the road, they continue to use their lyrics as a window into the life of a traveling band on the current American landscape. The Freeway Revival‘s refreshing and explosive blend of southern rock, funk and psychedelic soul translates to a genre-dissolving sound that feels strangely familiar yet remains entirely unique to itself.
The Hub City Brew Fest and Coalition for Active Youth are excited to announce a partnership with Partners for Active Living in building the Bike Yard Mountain Bike Park. This partnership will provide us with the additional money needed to break ground by the end of the 2017!!!
Past support of the HCBF has helped get this project off the ground, and 100% of the proceeds will continue to go towards the actual construction of a public mountain bike park. With the new partnership the we will have more land to work with and more shaded areas. The park is still on the Mary Black Rail Trail but further down towards Forest Avenue Continuing towards Country Club Road.
With this new location, we will be able to create longer trails for more of a mountain biking feel focusing on the following four priorities, a pump track, a dirt jump course, a perimeter mountain bike trail and a “sticks” park. Thank you for continuing to support the Hub City Brew Fest where we love Beer and Bikes and where your sponsorship dollars go to create a more active and vibrant community. . .
We truly “Love Where We Live”!
